Keep It Simple

I have to admit I was kinda iffy about this look.  Only because there was nothing really over the top about it.  Don't get me wrong, the shirt is actually kinda amazing because its a tuxedo collared shirt combo and it fits me really well.

You know when I first ventured out to LA, I really set out to make a big splash.. I wanted to go beyond what Atlanta was offering me and challenge myself for new opportunities.  I never would have imagined that my life would have gone in the direction it went.  It's funny because my first year was a challenge but the second year really showed me how to do the work!

I learned that you can have an idea of the direction you want to go BUT be flexible in your approach because it's the result your after! When I started opening myself up to new possibilities, the magic happened.  I've styled as the lead costume designer for movies, commercial celebrities like Rachel Leigh Cook, International Mega pop girl group "The Saturdays", plus Hip Hop royalty like Big Boi from Outkast for leading music videos!!

With that being said, as I review this post, I realize how simple your/my approach to life can be in order to fulfill what may look like a complicated dream.  Keeping it simple has really been a big lesson for me, not just with life, but in style too.  I'm human, but I am going to continue to do my best to keep it simple.  It's just makes life more enjoyable ..Hope you enjoy this outfit as much as I thought I wouldn't lol.  -Toye*
