Folake Huntoon: California Girl

Blogger, Fashion Designer and World renowned Fashion Stylist Folake Huntoon is one of my favorite people on earth, "period". Not only is she an all around kind spirit to be a round and #TeamToye supporter, but She's styled everyone from Britney Spears to Charlize Theron and somewhere in-between saving the world and motherhood found time to start her understated yet AMAZING clothing line WeWeclothing. An all Echo friendly line based out of Beverly Hills, California. Celebs like Tori Spelling, Jessica Alba, and Eva Longoria are just a few of the line's celebrity clientele and supporters, but keeping up with the Jones is one thing you won't find Folake Huntoon doing anytime soon.Peep the Interview Below to see how she marches to the beat of her own drums.

So tell the people, what do you do for a living?

Let’s see, I design and own a clothing line, I’m a blogger, a wife, and mother. I think that’s it :)

Where are you from?
I’m from Nigeria, West Africa.

What inspires your Style?
Comfort. I dress for comfort. I have 3 kids that I have to run after daily, so I keep that in mind, without looking like a soccer mom (no offense). My style also evolves, so it’s usually my state of mind at the moment. I pretty much rock any style. From Couture to preppy to a basic tee and pair of jeans. It’s all in your attitude/confidence.

Your hair is amazing! Would you consider it to play a significant part in your personal style, and if so, what role would you say it plays?...
Thank you, Toye. Personally, I don’t think it plays a significant role, but I guess it gets a lot of attention. I have been wearing my hair like this for a little over 15 years. I haven’t changed it. The only thing I go back and forth with is the length, but other than that, I have always worn the natural look. I love it crazy and wild :)

What are some tips you can give the people when creating their own signature look?
Tips? I’m not an expert, Toye. Let’s see, I’d say..know what works for your face and body. For instance, I don’t think I’ll ever wear my hair straight. It just doesn’t look good on me. I also know my body/shape very well, so I know what types of clothes to wear. I usually buy pieces 1 or 2 sizes bigger, for the boho fit – which is my core. I’m not a fan of tight fitting clothes, it hugs all the problem areas, however, I can pull it off if I have to :)

Who are your Style Icons?
I don’t have any, but I do admire these people and their style: Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller, June Ambrose, Nicole Richie, Lenny Kravitz,, Chloe Sevigny, Rachel Zoe, Julia Sarr-Jamois, Lauryn Hill, Andre Benjamin, Kerry Washington. {My list is in no particular order, by the way}

Twitter/blog much? Lol
Is that a trick question? Lol. Yes, I have two twitter accounts. One for the clothing line @weweboho { http://www.weweclothing.com and the other for the fashion/lifestyle blog @stylepantry { http://www.stylepantry.com }
